She completed rotations at her local hospital before moving to the Royal Brompton Hospital where she specialised in respiratory physiotherapy.
Stephanie has worked with both adults and children with chronic respiratory conditions and specialised in outpatient respiratory care, regularly seeing patients with COPD, bronchiectasis, asthma, breathing pattern disorders and ILD. She gained valuable experience working in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service, Bronchiectasis clinic and Unexplained Dyspnoea Service. Support for her patients has ranged from complex airway clearance education to nebuliser trials, breathing pattern education, and exercise advice. She enjoys engaging her patients and finding creative ways to increase their success and adherence to treatment. In addition, she incorporates her personal experience with yoga and singing into her work.
During the first wave of the Covid pandemic, Stephanie worked on the front line with acute inpatients. She is currently working with a large number of post-Covid patients with ongoing symptoms such as fatigue, reduced exercise tolerance, and ongoing shortness of breath.
