2022 is well underway, and as we prepare for the year ahead we thought it would be interesting to take a look back at our world of respiratory physiotherapy over the last 12 months…. and what a year it was for us all.
Expanding team
2021 was indeed a big year for Air Physiotherapy.
We’ve expanded from 2 to 6 physios treating the wide range of respiratory conditions we see in the clinic every day – supported by the wonderful Natan, our practice manager, who keeps the practice running seamlessly! It’s an incredibly strong team and we’re so proud to have each and every member as part of the Air Physiotherapy family. It doesn’t stop there though – we’re already looking ahead to further expansion in 2022…
Beyond the Air Physiotherapy family, Emily’s family experienced some changes of its own as she welcomed her gorgeous little boy Kittow in March… Kittow definitely wins the “cutest addition to the team” award!
Expanding locations
As the team has expanded so did the way in which we were able to support our patients. We continued offering virtual appointments throughout the year – indeed many patients tell us they welcome the opportunity to avoid travelling to in-person appointments and be treated in the comfort of their own home.
However a whole host of patients do appreciate the ability to be seen face to face, and we found that once things began to open up again in March 2021, the demand for face to face appointments increased. Adding the fabulous One Welbeck to our clinic locations in June with its incredible facilities and easy access has been a welcome addition. Our presence at One Wellbeck very importantly means that patients who are referred to us by the consultants we work with on site can now conveniently receive their treatment under the one roof. The feedback from patients has been incredible.
Our expanded locations means we can offer flexible appointment times throughout the week with our brilliant team of respiratory physiotherapists at 3 locations: Wimpole Street and One Wellbeck in Marylebone, and Fulham Road in Fulham.
Expanding horizons
We’re very much looking ahead to doing more of what we do best in 2022. Demand for our respiratory physio services continues to grow and with that in mind, we plan to increase our presence at One Wellbeck from 3 days per week to 5 days a week, which will include evening clinics to maximise convenience for our patients.
We’re proud to be a really tight knit, close team – both within the context of the clinical environment by holding regular CPD and training sessions together, but also less formally as we see each other outside of work for social events! There are further plans for some exciting developments as 2022 unfolds as we forge even closer relationships with the consultants we work with.
